Since 2012 Burnetts on Barney has been helping home gardeners and landscapers from Kiama and the surrounding areas to create not only beautiful gardens, but complete outdoor spaces. You’ll be surprised by the range of services our independent, family-owned and operated centre offers – from landscape supplies, a plant nursery and garden supplies, to hardware as well as homewares and gifts. We are also home to The Quarry Cafe, a picturesque, homestyle cafe nestled amongst the nursery, beneath towering basalt quarry walls, with live music every Saturday and a range of events. We were recently named the NSW and ACT Garden Centre of the Year.

We stock bulk and bagged aggregate, pebbles, soils, sand, compost, mulch and turf, in a range of sizes and varieties. We’re here to help you select the best landscape supplies to bring your outdoor oasis to life.

Plant Nursery

Our Garden Centre nursery is filled with native and exotic plants, trees, herbs and vegetables, gorgeous pots, as well as equipment and horticultural supplies to help your garden thrive. Our customers not only come for our quality – they come for the experience of our beautiful space.

Hardware & Extras

Try Burnetts – there’s no need to head anywhere else, as we have all the extras you need for your outdoor project, and more! Basic hardware and painting supplies, garden accessories, gas bottles, last minute camping gear, and all sorts of miscellaneous home hardware. We even offer key cutting.

Homewares & Gifts

The Burnetts’ Gift Shop, housed in a funky, upcycled, converted shipping container space filled with quirky furniture, is packed with mostly Australian-made homewares and gifts, including lamps, pots, vases and décor, as well as premium gardening tools and equipment, and so much more. We source most items from regional NSW and love supporting other small businesses. If it’s flora- or fauna-themed, you’ll find it here.

The Quarry Cafe

Our garden cafe serves up a savoury and sweet homestyle daily menu. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy Saturday live music from local musicians while enjoying our signature house-blend coffee, daily special house-made cakes, or a hot lunch. The cafe, which opens from 7am, celebrates fresh, seasonal foods, and has been recognised by Slowfood Saddleback with a Slowfood Snail Award.

Burnett Trees

Burnetts have been taking care of all types of tree needs in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Highlands since Andrew and Elizabeth Burnett started the business in 2001. Burnett Trees can help with fallen limbs and trees, diseased trees, trees that pose danger, as well as hedge trimming, fruit pruning, and stump grinding. Burnett Trees services large clients including Kiama and other local Councils, RMS, real estate and building contractors, as well as private property owners.
